Are Designer Shoe Racks Catching On?

You might be tempted to think that a shoe rack is just a shoe rack. But you would be wrong. Shoe racks come in all shapes and sizes, and even this doesn’t cover half of what you can find out there today.

Designer shoe racks have now arrived in a big way, and you will notice that there are lots of them around at all kinds of price points. Generally speaking the designer shoe racks will be a bit more expensive than some of the cheaper models on the market. But then you are going to get something that you would be proud to show off. This is very different from buying something that you feel the need to hide as it accommodates all your shoes.

One particular shoe rack we found consisted of lots of different sized boxes all in white and all made into one unit that was wall mountable. This had several different types of boxes that were ideal for long knee length boots as well as for shoes. It may not suit everyone but it certainly stood out and looked very good as a result.

Another stylish effort was a more minimalist shoe rack made out of a single sheet of metal. This was curved so that it attached to the wall at a low level and the shoes sat on the part of it that stuck out. There was a lip at the top as well, so the shoes didn’t fall off when they were in place. If you are looking for something fairly basic it doesn’t get much more basic than this.

Another terrific and very modern entry to the designer shoe rack department was a type of rack that only held one pair of shoes at a time. However this particular example was not the kind of thing that worked as a storage method for an old pair of trainers. Rather, it was a nice way of displaying one of your best pairs of shoes. One of them slid onto the top of the strip of bent metal as it was attached to the wall, and the second one sat directly on the platform underneath it. As such the shoes looked very jaunty and almost free floating from a distance.

Of course if storage is a problem you will need something bigger than this. But it is good to know you have some genuinely stylish solutions to think about as well.
